"The Cameroonian Veterans Football League UK is more than just football, it’s a vibrant community built on sportsmanship, networking, camaraderie, respect, and discipline. We bring together seasoned players to celebrate the beautiful game while fostering lifelong bonds both on and off the pitch.".
Who We Are
The Cameroonian Veterans Football League (CVF) was born from a shared passion for football, community, and structure. For years, Cameroonian veteran football groups across UK cities engaged in friendly matches filled with joy, sportsmanship, and an electric ambiance both on and off the pitch. These games sparked a sense of unity and nostalgia, but also revealed the need for something more organized and sustainable.
A visionary group of gentlemen from various veteran teams came together with a bold idea: to create a formal, structured league that would elevate the standard of veteran football and strengthen community ties. A blueprint was drafted and shared across veteran groups in the UK for feedback and consideration. After nearly a year of collaborative discussions and group consultations, teams that embraced the vision were invited to send their Presidents and top-ranking officials as delegates to finalize the plan..
Through this democratic process, the CVF League was born. A governing executive was elected, and the pilot edition of the league kicked off. Today, the CVF is proud to be FA-sanctioned in Division 5, with all players officially FA-registered a significant achievement for a grassroots community league.
It's already being called one of the most impactful initiatives in the Cameroonian UK diaspora in recent memory!
